SMUDGE STICKS

These special smudge sticks we made with sage grown with love in HSF’s garden and dried in HSF’s yoga studio to soak up all that yoga goodness. They will infuse your space with loads of HSF love and cleanse your space of anything that is not serving you on your yoga journey. It is recommended that you use them on the full or new moon, or any other time you are feeling the need for an energetic clearing. When used for a cleansing ceremony, there is no right or necessarily wrong way to use them, but if you would like to honor the native American tradition, you would go in a clockwise direction around yourself or your space and as the sage smoke envelop and cleanses you, you would silently or out loud offer a smudge prayer where you would say something like “ I ask that my home be cleaned of anything that is no longer serving me or my journey and I ask that you return the energy of __________ to my space.” I also learned from a Native American, that once done your ceremony, you can also seal your space and ward of any negative energy from entering it by sprinkling black pepper on all the entrances.
